Itinerary
Meet at your hotel. Walk to one of the best “Banh cuon” (fresh rolls with pork and mushroom stuffing) places in town where you can watch the food being made. Get hungry again with a black filter coffee in a dark, long established coffee house. Continue to a street eatery in the Old Quarter where you can taste the very local “Bun thang” (rice noodle soup with assorted toppings) or Pho instead. End up at a popular place where you can sit on a plastic stool in the street, drink Bia Hoi (Vietnamese draught beer), and chat with other travelers. Get sweetened with some Vietnamese sweet doughnut from the street vendors or street stall. Back to your hotel by cyclo.
